Built-in safes are designed to be installed in a niche in the wall. The construction of built-in safes does not bend, does not deform and is designed to withstand wall pressure. Installation of the built-in safe in the wall increases the fire resistance of the wall structure.

Metal built-in safes are available both with and without shelves. As well as GUMI built-in safes, various locks are available: both mechanical and electronic locks.

Classification of safety standards of safes according to the European classification:

• Standard EN 1143-1 – determines the classification of all types of safes. Each safe is classified according to one of six anti-burglary security classes from 0 to 6. The higher the class, the heavier the construction of the safe and the more complex the anti-burglary mechanism.
• Standard EN 14450 – determines the classification of safe cabinets. Two safety classes S1 and S2 are distinguished.

The safety and compliance of safe locks is determined by the European safety standard EN 1300, which distinguishes the following safety classes: A, B and C:

• For example, a safe equipped with a class A or B lock will be suitable for private use.
• Class C locks are used in safes subject to particularly high and specialized security conditions.
